As part of the Town of South Cle Elum’s 2026 Comprehensive Plan Update, BHC prepared the community’s first Climate Element. We conducted a gaps analysis to highlight priority areas for strengthening the Town’s climate resilience, and supported this work with a climate impact assessment that included maps and graphics to help illustrate climate impacts the town is experiencing and will continue to experience. The Climate Element includes goals and policies reflective of relevant climate concerns, gaps in existing policy, and local conditions. Equally important, the development of the element was informed by input from Town staff, residents, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the final product reflects the community’s values and priorities.
