BHC worked with the City of Morton to bring its Comprehensive Plan into compliance with the Washington Growth Management Act. We provided updated population and growth projections, housing supply data, and demand forecasts to ensure the plan reflected the City’s long-term needs. A central goal of the update was to incorporate climate resiliency throughout the plan. To achieve this, BHC conducted a climate change vulnerability assessment and identified resiliency measures specific to the City’s unique challenges and opportunities. The result was a modernized Comprehensive Plan that balances state requirements with local priorities, while preparing the City for a more climate-resilient future.
