BHC was part of a consultant team that prepared the City of Lynden’s first Climate Element as part of its Comprehensive Plan Update (for which BHC served as the prime consultant). Our work included preparing a climate impact assessment with relevant maps and graphics, incorporating results from public engagement and a climate policy audit into the development of goals and policies, and drafting the Climate Resilience and Greenhouse Gas Reduction sub-elements of the Climate Element. As part of this effort, BHC worked with the City to identify goals and policies that have both climate resilience and health and wellness co-benefits to build out a new Health and Wellness Element of the Comprehensive Plan. This work was fully incorporated into the City’s broader Comprehensive Plan Update, ensuring alignment with state requirements and community priorities.
