Throughout the 25 years of the Growth Management Act, BHC has worked for many cities, towns, counties, and neighborhoods throughout Washington to help jurisdictions of all kinds design and fulfill the vision of a Comprehensive Plan. We tailor our approach and level of involvement to achieve compliance in all aspects of the guidance mandated by the Department of Commerce while balancing these objectives with residents’ vision and expectations for their community. BHC has contributed to dozens of projects involving Comprehensive Plan analysis or updates, most recently for the City of Quincy, meeting its GMA deadline for June 2018. In recent years, we have also updated comprehensive plans for Black Diamond, Island County, Gold Bar, Skykomish, and Orting.
