Bio: Talia hails from the Okanogan Highlands of North Central Washington, growing up amidst stunning wilderness. Coming from a rural area, she values the impact individuals can have on the direction a community takes. As a land use planner, she especially loves helping small towns and making sure everyone’s voice gets heard, particularly if they haven’t had a seat at the table before. She is constantly seeking the common ground that can bring people together. She has called Bellingham, France, and Indiana home at various points in her life. In Seattle, she loves spending time with family, making sure her children get to know her Grandmother, who will turn 100 this year. If you catch her with her headphones in her ears, she’s probably racing through her latest science fiction audiobook.
