BHC Since: 2010

Registration/Certification: Professional Engineer, WA; Structural Engineer, WA; Structural Engineer, AK; Professional Engineer, CA

Education: MS, Structural Engineering, Stanford University; BS,  Civil Engineering, Santa Clara University

Bio: Ken is a principal structural engineer at BHC. He became a structural engineer because he thrives on the challenges and responsibilities for safe and efficient structural designs. Ken enjoys the fact that each project has its own specific needs and a typical approach cannot always be used. Ken has designed buildings all over the world and has been able to travel to many of their construction sites for first-hand observations. He has experience in most structural materials and uses that expertise to determine the right structure for each project. Ken grew up in the Puget Sound area and has always lived in the region other than his college years.  He is an avid Seattle sports fan with season tickets for the Mariners, Seahawks, Huskies, and Sonics (Where are they now?). Ken and his wife, Mary, enjoy going to sporting events, traveling, and spending time with their adult daughters Melissa and Suzanne.
