The City of Shoreline is a growing community located just north of Seattle. Following incorporation in 1995, the City completed its first GMA comprehensive plan. After 10 years, BHC Consultants was selected to facilitate the update of the comprehensive plan, as well as to prepare detailed transportation and stormwater management master plans.
BHC managed transportation, surface water, environmental, and public involvement sub-consultants, and coordinated with the City of Shoreline’s parks department for this unique multidisciplinary project. These efforts included updates to development regulations, environmental policies, and the Shoreline Master Program. Additionally, a Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Plan was coordinated with the Comprehensive Plan update process, to ensure consistency and to leverage strategies between plans. The project included review of the updated plan and master plans under SEPA.
